Civil Rights Act of 1964 — Title VII

Prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin by employers with 15+ employees. Enforced by the EEOC. A cornerstone federal statute enacted under the Commerce Clause and Fourteenth Amendment enforcement power.
